Engineering advisor providing expert consultation and litigation support on forklift trucks and other material handling equipment.

Services provided include review of vehicle design for standard and code compliance, safe use and application, accident investigation and product liability, manufacturing and/or quality control deficiencies, evaluation of dealer or distributor performance in sales or service, and investigation of cause and origin of fires related to forklift trucks.

Have extensive experience giving depositions and have testified at trial for both defense and plaintiff.

Currently a member of ASME B56.6 Rough Terrain Forklift Safety Standard Committee.

Directed the activities of engineers, designers and drafters responsible for the new chassis design, redesign and field service of 27 current models of forklift trucks manufactured at Dallas, Oregon and sold under the names Caterpillar and Towmotor.

Had design responsibility for 11 models manufactured at Leicester, England and sold throughout Europe. Had worldwide field service responsibility for more than 80 lift truck desings, including redesign for field failures, updated safety and maintainability.

Was a member of ANSI B56.6 Rough Terrain Forklift Safety Standard Committee (1987-1989). Certified quality control measures for suppliers of forklift truck parts and components.

Product Support Representative

Engineering position providing technical expertise and assistance to manufacturers using Caterpillar engines in their produces (i.e., Hyster, Towmotor, Kenworth, Freightliner, etc).

Provided training to manufacturers, dealers and customers on maintenance and repair of Caterpillar engines.


1966-1967 Service Representative Defense Products

Supervised the installation and conducted performance tests on diesel electric sets in Minuteman II ICBM's. Required a knowledge of government contract standards and procedures.

Worked with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Air Force and Boeing (missile contractors).


1965-1966 Warranty Claims Technician

Analyzed failures of hydraulic systems, axles, transmissions, engines, cooling systems and other components covered by Caterpillar warranty.

Negotiated settlement of warranty claims with Caterpillar dealers on all earth moving equipment and engines.


1964-1965 Training Instructor

Conducted classroom and laboratory training for Caterpillar dealer mechanics on safety, troubleshooting, disassembly and adjustment of equipment for the complete Caterpillar product line.

Designed curriculum, scheduled classes and evaluated students.


1963-1964 Technical Writer

Wrote service literature for dealers on new Caterpillar products. Wrote service literature on product updates and field improvements.
